Gabby's Newmarket: Cozy Dining with Flavorful Comfort Food at Upper Canada Mall

This was my husband and I first time at Gabby's and we had such a great experience. It is an excellent spot to come to if you're shopping at the mall and wanna grab a bite or just to hang out with your loved ones. The ambiance and decor inside are so cute and cozy! The service is fantastic - very friendly and kind! And the food itself is delicious! My husband I shared the nachos and bad a beer each. We can't wait to come back and try some of the other items on the menu!

First time at Gabby's Newmarket and definitely wont be the last. Ava our sever was wonderful. Very cheerful, happy, chatty and looked like she wanted to be their for work. She answered all of our questions. The food was delicious. I had the Chicken Tenders and Fries (Tuesday special) and my dad had the fish and chips. Both meals were delicious, full of flavor and good portions. Atmosphere was great. Very warm setting. Didn't feel cold being in the mall close the entrance. The music wasnt to loud but played some bangers of tunes (to my liking) I will be back for sure to try more items.

Fantastic first experience at the new Gabby’s location at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket. From the moment you cross the threshold of their entrance, you are greeted so warmly. The space is fantastic and with lots of open areas for families and larger parties, private but well-lit areas by the window for a couple of solo diners, like me, and some lovely intimate booths for couples or lunch/dinner meetings I was sat in Kevin’s section and it was a pleasure to be served by him. He was engaging and helpful when I asked him what were the restaurant’s hits on the menu. He helped me choose the “Crispy Shrimp” appetizer. Probably one of the best shrimp appetizer from a restaurant I’ve ever had. The shrimp is so fresh, seasoned and bursting with flavour. They were huge and batter was just light and crispy. I learned that the shrimp and their fish are always made to order. It makes a huge difference. Love that the tails and all shells are removed. I also ordered Gabby’s famous “Chicken Tenders”. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavourful (with or without the hot honey sauce). The fries looked and tasted house cut, were golden and fried to perfection. Kevin checked on me during each course wanting to make sure that I was enjoying my meal. His check-ins were mindfully timed after a few bites. I will definitely return to Gabby’s and will be bringing our leaders at work, into the restaurant, to break bread together. I met one of the managers at the end of my lunch. Lloyd Is locked in arms with his team, working shoulder to shoulder with them to deliver great guest experiences. I have no doubt that this new location will be a great success. Stay tuned for their happy hour(s) and late night business hours.

Our first visit to the new Gabby's at upper Canada mall, the food, portions and price were fantastic, $19 for two large peices with fries amazing and it was crisp batter with soft fish inside! My wife had the 1/2 rack of ribs with chicken tenders, her only comment was the BBQ sauce was a bit to smoky, other than that awesome! The service was also very good. One observation it was very warm inside and smelled a little smoky (like you could smell the fryers) but will absolutely be back, great addition to Newmarket

Food and service was amazing. Parmida, our waitress was super nice and welcoming! We ordered fajitas and steak plus cheese cake which were all tasty.

This is a great place to rest and eat after shopping at the mall or hang out with friends and family in the afternoon. I had a delicious burger, and the other dishes looked equally appetizing. The restaurant was very clean and well organized, and the staff was friendly and professional. There are power outlets beside some tables, which is very handy if you want to charge your gadgets before leaving.

Mikhala was our waitress whom I highly recommend asking to sit in her section. Very welcoming and attentive. Knows the menu and has great recommendations. First timers to Gabby's we appreciated the decor. My husband and I both had the very delicious chicken club. The poutine and Greek salad were great sides. Overall 5/5. CON; the restaurant has 3 washrooms, none of which are wheelchair friendly. Not one washroom meets any of the requirements by code/act. There are no bars, call button, entry open/lock button, and under width for accessible wheelchairs/walkers. Once I collapsed my walker, I still couldn't close the door. There is very little room. Manager stated the disabled bathroom is approx 150ft in the main part of the mall. Not an easy walk (300 ft total) and does not meet code. Final remarks: great restaurant that needs to be forced to follow bylaw and disability codes. For this reason, anyone disabled should be concerned.
